blue titanium basik.004 details

Early in the summer we sent our first three basik rollerball pens to our Cerakote applicator who applied one of the best-selling Cerakote colors, Blue Titanium to them. If you're unfamiliar with the color Blue Titanium (H-185), it's described as "a teal ocean blue highlighted with shimmering metallics that give this deep color a glistening finish." We released 25 of each of those basik pens, and they sold out rather fast. We've gotten more requests over the last few months to release more of the basik in this color, and we're pleased to announce that we're now adding the basik.004 and basik.005 in Blue Titanium.

The basik.004 rollerball pen is our fourth iteration of our flagship pen designed and manufactured with the intention of being carried in the pocket or purse of everyone that uses a pen. The basik.004 was released in July 2025 in a capped production run, and we are now adding this Limited Release version for the holidays. The basik.004 features a design of evenly spaced machined rings from the tip to top of the pen. The raised surface has an extra-fine ringed machined finish to provide tactile grip that has been tumbled after machining to ensure a uniform look and feel. Virtually failure-free and requiring minimal maintenance, the basik.004 rollerball pen is a true everyday carry pen.

Everyday Karas unofficially launched on social media in 2017 via collaborations with EDC (everyday carry) small makers and influencers, Everyday Karas is now officially launched via this webstore and corresponding social media platforms. Everyday Karas is a return to the foundation of machined writing instruments designed and manufactured for everyday carry use. Designs take a step back from complexity of form to focus more fully on function. Everyday Karas products will feature minimal parts in an effort to reduce failures and maintenance while focusing on streamlining the manufacturing process with the use of our CNC machining technology. Minimalism and simplicity are NOT the goal; rather they are two reference points as we journey back to the basics of our design language and process will shape the product and categories Everyday Karas focuses on. Everyday Karas will redefine the durable writing instrument for everyday carry use by first identifying what an everyday carry pen "needs" to accomplish. The design and manufacturing will follow suit benefiting heavily from the advances we’ve made in the last thirteen years.
