It's hard to believe it's been a year already since we hatched this harebrained idea on building a product as economically as possible and selling it as cheap as stuff being mass-produced overseas. Everyday Karas and the basik.001 didn't seem like a groundbreaking idea; a bit disruptive and some might call it counterintuitive, at the time it made sense to us IF we could pull it off. A year later with nine basik iterations, expansion into anodized aluminum and Cerakote paint colors, plus the addition of brass , and four successful Quarterly Subscriptions and we're finally here to celebrate with a very special 2026 Anniversary Bundle.

In lieu of the Q2 Subscription, we've curated a 3-pen anniversary bundle. Each of these pens is unique and ONLY available via this bundle. We spent time considering what pens to use and what colorways to feature, ultimately deciding to return to our roots and some of the original colorways we used in our initial anniversary releases for Karas Pen Co. The superstition basik.004 limited release features the basik.004 with it's uniform detail rings spaced along the body, giving the pen some design features while maintaining the overall outer diameter along the entire pen which was a fan request. These have been anodized in an awesome matte red color with just the right red tone to it. Stainless steel clips and screws and a black Delrin slider were selected for this release, and pulling the Superstition treatment off is a copper button. The Superstition Mountain Range is home to the legendary Lost Dutchman's Mine, and is a treasure hunter's dream. The range itself lies directly to the east of our shop and is chock full of copper. We pulled the red in from the Arizona state flag and contrasted it with the copper. The prospector basik.007 limited release features the blue from the Arizona state flag along with a brass button. These two colors also reference the Lost Dutchman's Mine with the blue being a double reference to the blue sage bushes that is so common throughout the desert landscape in Arizona. The brass reminds us of the fleeting hidden treasure in the Dutchman's Mine. Lastly, the star piece for the 2026 Anniversary Bundle is the basik.001.copper limited release. Our one year anniversary needed to be super special, and what better way than to release the first, and potentially only copper basik of 2026. Copper is in high demand and very low supply which hasn't been the case in years past. We scrabbled together enough to get the pens for this bundle, but with the rising costs of copper and the shortage, this will be the only copper basik release in 2026. The basik.001 was chosen to complete the full set, having released that version initially in raw aluminum and then as part of the brass subscription. Putting the final touches on the launch of Everyday Karas and the basik with the pen that started it all.

2026 Anniversary Bundle is specially priced and excluded from most coupon codes due to the direct markdown.

Designs take a step back from complexity of form to focus more fully on function. Everyday Karas products will feature minimal parts in an effort to reduce failures and maintenance while focusing on streamlining the manufacturing process with the use of our CNC machining technology. Minimalism and simplicity are NOT the goal; rather they are two reference points as we journey back to the basics of our design language and process will shape the product and categories Everyday Karas focuses on. Everyday Karas will redefine the durable writing instrument for everyday carry use by first identifying what an everyday carry pen "needs" to accomplish. The design and manufacturing will follow suit benefiting heavily from the advances we’ve made in the last thirteen years.
